We talk a lot about providing your customers with a unique product, something they may have a hard time getting from other suppliers. This Milk and Honey soap with honey themed molds is a great example of that. Here, Divas Can Cook show you how to make your very own with this great video.
There are a few benefits to this type of presentation. First of all, it's obviously eye catching. Seeing a honeycomb shaped soap is something that stands out a bit from the sea of rectangular bars. It also gives the person who sees the bar, an idea of what it might smell like. Honey! And who doesn't like honey in some form or another? If anything, you have a nice conversation piece for anyone walking by your booth.
I really like this idea and think it works on many levels. Keep in mind, however, it may take a bit longer to produce and package something of this nature. For this reason you may want to reserve this type of presentation to some of your more popular products. Ones that easily lend themselves to a unique aesthetic.
This rose soap is made from a silicone based rose shaped mold. These are usually designed for melt and pour based soap, but we've used them for cold-processes soap making with great results. Amazon has a fantastic selection of molds like this. Hearts, flowers, honeycombs, and even an emoji mold. Yes, you read that right. You should be able to find similar molds at your local Michael's or other craft stores.
The point is, it's unique! Doing this for every soap in your store is probably not practical, but having something a little different goes a long way. If you're already pouring soap into individual bar sized molds, then incorporating something like this into your process is extremely easy! If you're producing soap in any type of higher volume, things like this can be cumbersome. Weigh the pros and cons for your situation and see if offering soap in different molds is something that can work for you.
